We currently have available walking holidays and vacations in 19 countries - Spain ( Mainland, Majorca and the Canary Islands ) , France (Mainland & Corsica), Scotland, Slovenia, Greece (Crete and mainland), Wales, England, Italy (mainland, Sicily and Sardinia), Austria, Romania, Croatia, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany ( Bavaria), Hungary, Montenegro, British Columbia (West Canada), Nova Scotia and Newfoundland (East Canada), Canadian Rockies, Western USA, US Rockies and Grand Canyon.
At Hooked on Walking Holidays we are the European specialist  for walking holidays , we have a strong emphasis on self guided walking tours but we still have available a number of group and guided tours. We believe we have too offer the widest range of tours for all abilities probably in the market place, flat tours for beginners to high alpine tours for the more advanced adventurer. We are also have available one Nordic walking holiday in Austria but are developing a few more for this great new walking craze. Hooked on Walking Holidays is owned by Jon and Sue Hook and our office is based in Edinburgh.
We always hunt down the most pleasant hotels , guest houses , inns and other accommodation in each town along our routes which provide a comfortable and very friendly stop over for you. Our approach is to find hotels with a family atmosphere which is relaxed and pleasant but also where possible is typical of the local architecture and culture . By carefully selecting our accommodation we offer our walking guests a very special local cultural experience. When providing half board ( breakfast and dinner ) we locate hotels which have that extra special local cuisine.
